Two ETF numbers, one Tuesday

On 22 September Cointelegraph posted a spot-ETF tape: Bitcoin about $715 million in, Ether $162 million, Zcash $33 million, Solana $29 million, XRP $20 million, then small prints in Chainlink, Dogecoin, Avalanche, Hedera, and Litecoin. The same afternoon other accounts were still saying Bitcoin alone took in roughly $999 million to $1 billion, the largest day since October 2025.

Those are not two ways of saying the same thing. One is a Bitcoin-only figure. The other is a smaller Bitcoin figure sitting next to a whole complex of alt ETFs, including a Zcash fund that barely existed in the conversation a month ago. If you trade the headline, say which tape you mean.

Price talk around the prints put Bitcoin near $86,000 and called it an eight-month high. Zerohedge pointed that breakout at $108,000. A separate crowd of chart accounts drew the move as a bull trap back through $70,000. QEHFX does not list those ETFs. The part we do list is the disagreement: two numbers, one Tuesday, and a market that has to pick.
